Meet The Dental Team With The Most Gentle Care

Dr. Lupe Poussin

Dr. Lupe Poussin’s journey in dentistry began long before she stepped into her first clinic. Born into a family with deep roots in healthcare, her passion for dentistry was nurtured while playing among dental chairs while her father, a dedicated dentist, cared for patients. Growing up in Havana, Cuba, she was immersed in the world of dentistry, laying the foundation for a lifelong commitment to oral health.

After obtaining her Dentist degree in Havana in 2003, she became a partner at Dental Art in Quito, where on top of caring for patients, she managed the dental office and built strong relationships with both patients and collaborators. Her dedication extended beyond the office as she became a professor at the Universidad de las Americas, where she directed the University Dental Clinic and taught both undergraduate and postgraduate courses in prosthodontics and cosmetic dentistry.

Dr. Poussin’s expertise led her to become a National Key Opinion Leader for 3M ESPE, contributing to the advancement of dental materials and techniques in Ecuador. Her commitment was evident in her volunteer work with Operation Smile Ecuador, where she provided dental care to underprivileged children.

Seeking to expand her knowledge and impact, Dr. Poussin completed her Doctor of Dental Medicine at Rutgers School of Dental Medicine in 2021. She continued to refine her skills in restorative dentistry, implants, and full mouth rehabilitation, earning certifications in advanced implantology and digital smile design.

Today, Dr. Poussin is the proud owner of Poussin Dental in Westfield, NJ, where she carries forward the legacy of her family's four generations of dentists and the 40-year history of the office. She uses her extensive expertise in implants, cosmetic treatments, and full mouth rehabilitation to provide the highest standard of care, focusing on patient comfort.

Away from the office, Dr. Poussin loves sharing time with her family. She enjoys engaging in creative projects. Her hobbies include watercolor painting, crafting, and giving new life to salvaged objects. These pursuits showcase her artistic flair and her delight in restoring beauty and function to objects, mirroring the care she takes with every patient's smile.
